This photo was taken on the Sands of Cannon Beach, Oregon in 1952. The car was built in 1946 by a fellow classmate at Portland’s Washington High School. Grandpa bought the car in 1951 and enlisted Bill Schnell Sr. (Ardun expert of the west coast) to build the 296 ci stroked, full race Flathead sporting one of Schnell’s own 4x2 intakes (of which only 4 or 5 survive today).

Who We Are:
Paddison Pre-war & Model T is a small family owned business founded on the love of all things cars. We are based out of Vancouver, WA about 10 minutes North of Portland, OR in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Clayton Paddison
Clayton was born and raised in Portland, OR. Before he could even talk he expressed a love for all things automobile. By age 3, he could expertly identify most makes, models and years. The seed for Clayton's true passion for pre-war cars however was planted in him by his Grandfather, Thor Sanden Jr. Thor was a member in the late 1940's of the local hot rod club called "The Pacers". When Thor passed unexpectedly in 2002, Clayton decided to pursue his passion in his Grandfather's memory. Clayton's first car was a 1965 Ford Falcon, which he still owns to this day. Since age 10, he worked many summers repairing bicycles for the neighborhood to save up money to purchase it. His first major build car however would come later in July 2006 when he purchased what remained of a 1927 roadster from Bill Becker for $800.00. Clayton wanted to build an authentic example of a Model T "Gow Job", something a kid his age would have hopped up and built pre-war during what is considered the true era of the birth of hot rodding. The response to Clayton's T has been overwhelmingly positive. We are proud that it provides a great example of Clayton's knowledge of the era, engineering and artistic vision. Clayton's passion for pre-war cars and Model T's is the foundation of Paddison Pre-war and model T. He is a member of the Rose City Model T Club, The Barnstormers, Hupmobile Club of America, Exclusive Styles Car Clubs and on the board of the Horseless Carriage Club of Portland.
Julia Paddison
Julia has always been a lover of history and antiques, so when she first saw Clayton's T it was love at first sight...well in love with Clayton too of course! Julia is wearer of many hats, Artist, mom to three boys, full time Customer Service Rep in the transportation industry. A right hand woman for Clayton in all things business and family related. Julia basically keeps Clayton alive by feeding and watering him both literally and figuratively :)
